I could see a few paths taken here if the author chose to.Things like setting it 20 years down the road with the child as the protagonist.Or even having Walker come back. After all he wasnt dead when he entered Hell.For that matter the Lord of Thorns said he was planning on going out and becoming the Judge again in a prior novel. Who is to say that Taylor is going to stay the new Walker for long? In the end however it is the authors choice and if that particular muse isnt speaking then let it rest until it speaks again. If it never does so be it,if it does however then be assured many will rush out to buy the next Nightside novel.
