Am I right in thinking that books 4+5 haven't been released in the UK as print copies yet? Are they likely to be? I've read them in electronic format, but would like paper copies for my SRG shelves. I could always buy the US versions, but would quite like the covers to match.

Simon no longer has a UK publisher! (yes, I know). So, no, no chance...

They pulled out when they didn't sell as many copies as they'd hoped?

This might be down to the fact that they did absolutely no PR or spent any thing on advertising... but then complained when the books didn't sell???

I'm afraid for the moment the US route is the only route. . .

Solaris isn't very good, it must be said. I think they started out with promise, but then kind of did nothing.

Damn, that's a shame. Oh well, they'll have to go on my "drastically changed the cover" with the dresden files.

I remember back in the day when the first one came out that I saw it on display in Forbidden Planet in London.
And today I love being a reviewer, I'm going to do a feature article on Secret Histories on The Gatehouse, so I got the preview review copy of Live and Let Drood. The UPS guy was a bit shocked to see my enthusiasm for the package I think haha :)

... I'm not going to let jealousy get the better of me. Know that I am eyeing the picture covetously. And take care to keep your doors and windows locked tight until the US release on June 5.

Just some friendly advice.

That's the general reaction of other cats when they see Merlijn launch himself at them yeah :)

Counting the minutes until the release time. I'm pretty disappointed that Penguin didn't put a sample up on their website this time around. Shame on you company-named-after-a-flightless-bird!
