The essay is amazing, as the book itself!

I'm halfway through and really enjoying it.
I gotta say though, the fact that John Taylor wears a WHITE trench coat and keeps all sorts of different kinds of protection (Magical, pepper or uh.. otherwise) in the pockets and the fact that Chance wears a CREAM suit with all sorts of different protection in the pocket seems odd. Is there an actual story reason for the similarity?

I thought there were a lot of similarities between John and JC as well. Not the way they dress, but the way they act and how they tick.

In The Bride Wore Black Leather, John Taylor mentioned his time studying with the original Carnicki, I would imagine some tricks got passed down from the man to the Institute to the team.

They do exist in the same world, or at least have some connections as much as the Nightside can be in the same world with any existance, don't they?

John + JC - this will be a dream team 8-) Like a Nightside version of McLaren.

Spoiler....

John and JC would have meet in the next Secret History's books, but John's on honeymoon and had to send someone else...

Darn, I would like to see John and JC banter (I don't think they'd get along well).
Mind you, I permanently hope that Hadleigh will show up.

It's not an obsession, it's just that epic stuff happens whenever he appears. People die, he does something bizar, it's entertaining :)
