Bout halfway through. It's pretty good, the characters of the team feel a little more distinct this time through.

I'm trying to decide whether or not it takes place in the standard SRG-verse, as a different viewpoint, or whether it's completely separate.

But one thing rather stuck out: ReSet? A drug that resets the human body back to its original position by resetting DNA? Is SRG a Torchwood fan?

Can I just ask, does it feel like proper old skool Torchwood (season 1 and 2) or abominable RTD has lost his mind Torchwood (season 3 and 4)?

Torchwood S 3 was just so different to 1 and 2 it threw people. The basic idea (odd as it was!!) wasn't really bad, but the lose of major cast members so rapidly did seem strange ?

I really thought that RTD would somehow bring Ianto back at the end, just shows what I know!

As for the new series. I'm loving it, don't have a clue where its going but I'm enjoying the getting there !

Bill Pullman has a part to die for. Who couldn't love the way he's playing Danes.

The end of Ep 6 was very interesting. So, do 'they' have access to off world tech or are they from off world (with they ability to tap into the L5's ??).

Maybe we should move this over to the TV section ??

I've not finished it yet but I just read the part about the mad doctor ghosts, man those were cool!
And finally, some ghost stuff that doesn't scare me senseless!

My friend Aaron just told me how it ends. Beatings shall have to be administered when I see him next (with a fluffy pillow, I'm not going to actually beat him). Poor JC! And poor Kim!
Can't wait to read what happens next though.
So many books I want to find out what's going on that still need to appear!

If I remember correctly, the Carnacki Institute was mentioned in one of the Drood books, I think it was "For Heaven's Eyes Only", in the same sentence as the London Knights. Plus John Taylor mentioned learning a few tricks studying under "old man Carnacki" during the chaos butterfly incident. At the time I just assumed he was talking about the detective, but who knows where SRG was leading it. So I've taken the stance that they exist in the same Greenverse and anxiously await a cameo somewhere! ;)

It was also mentioned at least once in the Nightside books. In "The Good, the Bad and the Uncanny". It was said that Walker could count on the aid of the Carnacki Institute. The scene where John is with Walker in his lair in the Nightside tourist office.

Ohhh I missed that, good catch! I blame Argus for being so weird and taking up the scene.
