Just like in the Nightside series the first book is a great deal of background. We are talking science fiction here, and there are rules. The first book is usually establishing characters and the rules they have to work with. I had hope that Ghost Finders would be in a different world than some of Mr. Green's other books. I will read the next book, and hope there just as many twists and turns as his other books.

I have to say the book starts out like most "real life" ghost hunters. They have no idea what they are doing. Theroies fill books on the subject of ghosts, but there is very little fact. That's what I got from the first part of the book. I like the shift in characters in the book, and especially who evolved into what (no I am not going to give anything away). Will such things carry over into the next book? I hope so.
