Just wondering if there will be more Ishmael Jones books, and if so, when I should look for them? I find I quite like the character, and would look forward to seeing what other trouble he and Penny could get down to. I can picture a Doctor Who/companion vibe, as Ishmael teaches Penny about his crazy world.

There are going to be at least 2 more.

Simon handed in a second a year ago and has just handed it the third.

I don't have a street date for any of them yet! The publisher is a small UK outfit and they haven't set a date so far.

I'll post more info when I get it.

I loved the first book. Very creepy, with great protagonist and very tense

Simon has just (this week) signed contracts for 2 more.

I'll have something for the news section when I get more info...

Isn't it high time for Ishmael to get his own section on the forum? :)
I LOVED the new book btw, review will be up on The Gatehouse next week, I just have to check with my editor which day other than Tuesday I can use to post :)

I read the third Ishmael Jones book, Very Important Corpses, over the weekend. I really enjoyed it. The series is now quite clearly formulaic (although Simon could easily surprise me in a later book), Ishmael will be in a locked house with Penny and others, and a monster will cause havoc. As you'd expect Simon still makes it fun, I like the protagonists, the interplay with the supporting cast is enjoyable.
