Yay! New Pratchett!

What did you think?

Vimes has been my favourite character for a long long time ... but ...

Move over Vimes, Wilikins has just overtaken :D

I enjoyed it, but you can tell he's getting old. Too many of his political opinions are creeping in now, and he's getting heavy-handed.

I don't know if it's he's getting old, he knows he's running out of time or if we're getting old and noticing it more :)

I personally think Nightwatch was his best book, I tend to enjoy all of the Watch books and watching them develop (bad pun intended).

I hear that his memory is really degrading, now.

(Used to be that, when signing books, he always personalised them. Now, I am told, he simply puts his name.)

It's really sad that he of all people should get something like this (and its terrible that anyone should).

I had the pleasure of meeting him at a Worldcon many years back. Shared a lift and the walk to the main con hall. He seemed glade that there was some he could talk to that wasn't American for bit!

I own a couple of Diskworld books, mostly Lancre Witches stories.
And once upon a blue moon I played Nanny Ogg in a play based on Wyrd Sisters.
It's been ages since I read one of the books though, maybe I should get Wyrd Sisters and Witches Abroad for kindle.

I'm not a big Pratchett fan, but I love his take on elves, in Lords and Ladies.
