As some of you may know Drinking Midnight Wine is set in the town where Simon lives (Bradford On Avon).

A local publisher has agreed with Simon to produce a very special limited edition. This will be a hardback with Black and white plates of the locations in the book. All the plates have been produced especial for this edition by local artists. There will only be 500 copies, each will be numbered and signed by the author.

The book is being produced as part of the Bradford On Avon literary festival.
There will be a launch party at the Dandy Lion in BoA next week (22 Sept) with a reading from the book by Simon.

UPDATE:

Book now for sale from:

How much are they being sold for? My husband's birthday is the 24th, and a signed copy from one of his favorite authors might make a nice present. :)

I knew someone would ask that !

I'm not sure, a lot of the event is under wraps at the mo.

I'll thinking something around £20.

I'll try to find out Monday/Tuesday if I can.

If you do end up wanting one pm your husband name and I'll make sure Simon personalises it for you.

That would be lovely! That would make the difference, I think--if Simon could personalize it, I would DEFINITELY get one for my husband's birthday! PLEASE let me know where and when I can get one!

Sara, I'm not getting anywhere with this. No one's talking until tomorrow.

2 options.

1. I'll be posting all the info in an announcement on Thursday. That should included the publishers info and contact details. I can pass your info to the publisher and Simon and make sure you get one personalised when you order.

2. I can pick you one up tomorrow night and stand over Simon while he writes in it and then post it to you first thing Thursday morning.

Let me know which way you'd like to go.

The second one, please, as I'd like to get my copy as soon as possible.

Ok. PM me your husbands name and what you'd like Simon to put along with your name and address and I'll get it in the post Thursday morning (as long as I'm not still drunk from Thursday night !!)...

Oh yeah !

I'll pm you after it's gone in the post with the cost of the book and the postage (I'll sent it recorded, so someone will need to be there to sign for it), and you can send me a cheque or do via BT whatever's easiest for you.
