I'm just finishing chapter 3 of the new Bluemoon book. Which will be at the 200 page point. Only another 7 chapters to go!

There'll be a new short story in Jan next year, in the Mammoth book of Sci Fi edited by Ian Watson.
This this be set in the Deathstalker universe and is entitled 'Out the Sun Endlessly Singing'. More info when it's available from the publisher.

Pit of Despair will be available from PS Publishing in May 2012. Again more info and a link to the PS site when it goes live.

(sorry I've not been around much the last week or so, my eldest daughter's just got married and I've been a little distracted! Normal service should be back now. Steve)

So he wrote 130 pages in just under three weeks? Good god. How does he manage such a writing pace? I'm going to have a go at nanowrimo, but I've no chance of matching that.

(I suppose it being your only job probably helps!)

Bear in mind that he's spent months plotting it. He only starts the writing when he knows the form of all the chapters and exactly what the plot is. That's the way his 'Process' works.

A bit of an update. . .

Just spoken with Simon, he's now nearing the end of chapter 4 of Once in a Bluemoon (page 280) and there's a fighting chance he'll hit the deadline !!!!

Awesome!

Been waiting over a decade for that book.
