I shall be visiting BoA next month. I shall of course be taking my copy of Drinking Midnight Wine and shall pop into the Dandy Lion and the station. I'll walk the bridge and the scamuls but other than the locations in the book any advice on what to see in the town?

BoA isn't that big, it's mostly houses (very, very nice houses ).
If you come in through the train station go right at the small roundabout which will take you to the bridge.
Once over the bridge take either the first or second left, that'll put you outside the Dandy. They do coffee and a great meals if you get there at lunchtime.
Take a right coming out of the Dandy and stay on the right side of the street (there's no path higher on the left) and you'll come to what's left of the wall of the Abbey (large and black due to traffic pollution). If a door suddenly appears in it, I'd think twice about going through it
There are signs to the Tide Barn, which is medieval but not in the book.
Blackacre was loosely based on a real place, but it's now private and there's no access.
If you'd like info on anything else, just let me know...
