Hello all!

New member, swinging by to say hi and suchlike.

First encountered Simon's books in 1994 ("Mistworld"), and it made an impression on me. Since then I've collected the Deathstalker books, the first six "Nightside" volumes (as the UK-released dual-volume anthologies, which I finished reading this morning), the first three "Secret Histories" books and a few others.

As a lifelong Doctor Who fan, I love picking up the references!

Thank you!

(Just as well that Who fans are welcome - don't want to alienate the author...) :P

There's a TARDIS reference in the most recent Nightside novel... better get reading!

Also quite a few mentions of 'the travelling doctor'.

Just thought, we don't have a Doc Who thread in the media section...

We should rectify that...with all the mentions of the 'Travelling Doctor' there'd be quite a lot to discuss--like, for instance, the question I'VE always wondered--when Simon brings up the Doctor, which incarnation does he see? *grips her sonic screwdriver thoughtfully*

Refraining from any sonic screwdriver jokes. . .

When Simon writes the 'Travelling Doctor' it's not always the same incarnation. It just depends on what mood he's in.

I know this, because I just asked him for you. Just another public service from the pages of SRG :D

Okay, okay, I'll lay off the screwdriver jokes...and thank you for asking him. :) You really are the nicest guy!

(I happen to be a major fan of the Tenth Doctor--Tom Baker was always my favorite Doctor, until David Tennant came along. Now, as far as I'm concerned, he IS the Doctor....nobody can fill his sneakers.)
