Greetings from Monterey California!

I am so glad to have found this forum, I've been a huge Simon R. Green fan for (oh geez) twenty years now, and have always had difficulty finding people with which I could discuss his books.

I'm on maybe my third copy of BMR now, as all my previous copies have sorta fallen apart after so many readings, and my Hawk & Fisher books could probably do with a replacing as well. The Secret Histories are books that I think will see a bit of re-reading too, and just as soon as I forget enough of them, the Deathstalker books will be revisited with gusto.

I have however, after an incredible display of self control, managed to avoid reading any of the Nightside novels UNTIL NOW! Why you ask, would I deprive myself so? Well, I wanted to wait until there were a whole bunch of em to read in one go. There are, suffice to say... A Whole Bunch of them nowadays, and after finishing the first last night I have already started the second. I can't wait to see what happens next!

Hi and welcome.

You're coming to the Nightside at about the right time. Book 12 (Jan next year) will be the last in the current run so you've just about got time to read them all before the last one arrives !

While I'm glad I chose a good time, I am a little sad to see (what has so far been) such a fantastic series come to an end.

Any idea as to whether or not there will be an omnibus or something in the near future?

Down wholly to the publisher. They won't make and decision until book 12 is out and they have sales numbers.

The bean counters will then workout if it's worth their while to bring out a collected edition, box sets etc...

Is it a bit cheeky to ask about sales figures? I'm curious how wealthy writing makes someone who isn't JKRowling.

Lots.

Oh, you wanted more than than that? :D

I don't have numbers, I know must be quite a few though...

The first Deathstalker is in it's 20 something printing and has never been out of print.
Simon work is translated into at least 17 languages that I know to.

I've heard mention of several millions of books being in print, what that means as £ I have no idea. . .
