Pretty much agree with what Slick Jimmy said in a previous post, although i know alot less about all that stuff. I guess the site just needs to advertise, get more people on board and posting in the forums especially. Id hate to see the forums just fade away through lack of posting! Lets get the conversations flowing, everyone can find 5, 10, 15 minutes to post a few messages on here every once in a while. This is the only place i get to discuss anything related to Simon and his books and be a complete Geek!

Cracking site none the less, had been waiting ages for a dedicated SRG site, and the the only site (unofficial) around disappeared, so great work mate!!!

It's not that we're not getting the traffic.

The first set of numbers from the hosting company show 40,000 hits since we went live with over a 100 hits a day.

Lots people are are reading and lurking (Hi to you all), but not so many are joining the forum... I guess we're scaring them off !!

I think you may want to expand the books section.
SRG's got a lot of short stories in various places, and as an avid fan I quite like owning a copy of the various anthologies he ends up in. It's a bit tricky finding some of them though.
I'd recommend some sort of page devoted to the short stories and what they're published in.

For instance, I've only just become aware of: Home Improvement, Undead Edition. And that was via goodreads.

Missed this post! Sorry.

I'd love to do a section on shorts, but I rarely get the info through.

Simon sometimes doesn't get anything until after it's been on the shelf for a while!

I will look into it again. . .

I suspect if you asked on here, you could probably find most of what he's done (I know I maintain my own list :| ), but I must admit to being surprised you don't have a list of what he's done/been accepted into. I guess shorts aren't usually organised by anybody beyond the author.

Actually, this gives me the excuse to ask a cheeky question I've had for a while. Where do you fit into the structure of SRG? I don't think you're his agent, but seem to be fairly privy to info. For all I know, you're just his mate with a net connection and a bit of web savvy. Was curious whether you had an official capacity so to speak. Feel free to tell me to sod off if this is far too impolite a question.

Where do I fit in the structure of SRG??

Good god! (I wish I knew!!).

But, no I'm not Simon agent, he's in the US.

I meet Mr Green in Leicester in the 70's when he was there doing his MA.
For my sin's I started the Leicester Science Fiction Group many, many years ago when the world was young and I still had hair. . .

He came along to the meetings, we got chatting and have been ever since.

I've known Simon longer than I've known my wife, which I find deeply worrying on many levels.
Back in 2000 when he started to go to conventions in the US he needed someone to organise the trips and while he has many fine talents (he tells me?) organisation isn't one of them (or time keeping or direction).
So I get him to the events, and then make sure he's in the right hall at the right time. He refers to me as his 'Minder' ! Make of that what you will.

When the old SRG site vanished I thought I might as well start a new one (I have a special place in hell reserved for me!).

 I see a gentleman in his 50s balding dressed as Mary Poppins singing about fantasy novels.
