Was very good and lived up to the hype.

That's all I have to say for now - spoilers may follow as others watch too.

My concern is the number of people I know going to watch this because 'Thor is hot!!"

We could see a demographic shift away from comic fans to over-sexed housewives. :?

I think Thor is the weakest link if that helps.

Tony Stark steals all the best lines and HULK SMASH

I must confess, my interest in all things Germanic/Scandinavian does prevent me from enjoying Thor in the Marvel universe.

(Theology gets in the way a lot when trying to enjoy fiction, I find.)

I went to the Thor movie last year and came away thinking it was pants. Too much lovemush and too few ravens.

I came away thinking "Aliens? Really???"

(Not to mention "Urgh, an Aussie accent.")

I LOVED IT!

The Hulk was so hilarious! And Iron Man! And Captain America wasn't nearly as boring as I thought he'd be! And Thor, well Thor was Thor. I still think Loki is a great villain!

I only wish I had seen Captain America before I saw Avengers. I only saw Thor because one of my best friends roped me into it (she wanted to see, and I quote her "viking abs"). I didn't think it was the best superhero movie ever, but I got a few laughs out of it so yeah :)

Btw, were Bert and I the only ones that mistook Thanos for Apocalyps at the end?

It was a very fun movie, lots of action and jokes, but I liked it less than the other big comic movies this year - The Dark Knight Rises and The Amazing Spider-man. Still, I did not expect to like it at all (not a fan of the characters), so I was pleasantly surprised.

I thought Amazing Spiderman was really good, but I really didn't like Dark Knight Rises.

Avengers just irritated me.
