To be fair to DC, they're rebooted their comic origins enough times that they probably feel quite happy to do so with their films. I think any time there's a comic film adaptation it ends up being in a separate universe and that's just downright annoying and disappointing.

As for the Hobbit film, I'm hedging my bets when it comes to that. It's been turned into a bloody animated film for crying out loud and that didn't need three parts.

I'm looking forward to seeing Hansel & Gretel, it looks like it could be good fun. It's out here in two weeks I believe.

And of course Star Trek Into Darkness as well.

So, not to much to be excited about right now. Star Trek might rock, and iron man may surpass low expectations again, but I'm not currently running out buying cinema tickets with gay abandon.

I would like to see Byzantium and Only Lovers Left Alive but when I get 'round to it and not necessarily in theatre.

I will go see Thor 2 though. Probably. If I can be bothered. And it's available in 2D instead of 3D.
So probably not.

I'm looking forward to RIPD premiering this Friday, but only because I love Ryan Reynolds and am looking forward to him being in a role that he can actually look good in.

For all the wrong reason, I'm looking forward to Pacific Rim... Yeah, I know, but who doesn't love giant robots bashing the crap out of monsters ;)

I'm also trying to get to see Now You See Me, which (I think) looking interesting. . .

I've been rereading The Hobbit.

I am now dreading the next Hobbit movie.

I am ALWAYS in dread of a LotR universe film, they're just far too bloody long. I get bored halfway through X_x.

I did consider Pacific Rim and The Wolverine, but then realised I couldn't really be bothered. Mostly because it's been hotter than hell lately and the airco in my usual cinema (aka the only affordable one in the province) is le suck.

I am one of those people who think that the Tolkien movies are far too short.
