I am absolutely looking forward to this one, I really like the 2009 reboot so I have high hopes for this.

The movie was fantastic! Cumberbatch really stole the screen, which made me happy to no end. I couldn't recommend this movie enough, definitely worth watching in the theaters!

I loved it, I really did!
That aside I'm glad I saw it in 2D rather than 3D because I'm possitive 3D would have been a waste of money and contribute nothing at all.
(I'm one of those people that thinks 3D has only ever contributed to movies like Tron Legacy)

You were correct, the 3D didn't add any depth to the movie. Going back and looking for news release on filming it was never intended to be a 3D movie (like how James Cameron set out to film Avatar), so all the 3D effects were added during post-production edit, and it showed. It didn't detract from the movie at all, but it didn't justify the extra ticket cost.
