No lie, I gave a little cheer when the image of Rose popped up on the screen!

Great episode, best of the season so far. I'm really excited about the rest now!

I'll try Steve, but no promises.

I'm a little disappointed by the finale. The resolution to the season intro (the death of the Doctor) came off as through the writers were saying "haha bet you didn't see that coming!" The whole episode premise of the time being broken was funny (Churchill being called Caesar??), but crap. I was happy to hear the reference to the Brigadier, even if it was post-mortem. Maybe maybe maybe the Doctor will pick up a much younger version as a partial companion sometime in the near future? Please? (insert big puppy eyes here) And another Rose Tyler reference - squeee!

This season just left me feeling indifferent as well. If I look back at it and ask "where did it take the Doctor", all I can really do is shrug and say "nowhere really". We're back where we started, albeit with a few more "monsters of the week" under our belts. I'm not charged about what happens to the Doctor next like I was at the end of the 2005-2008 seasons.

Well I don't agree with that at all (but hey, different people have different opinions, it's all good). I thought it was hilarious at times, dramatic at others and I just plain loved it :)
See, spoiler free :)

Wasn't sure how I'd like Matt Smith as the Dr. after David left, but I've enjoyed what Matt has brought to the role. Vincent & the Doctor was a favorite - I still get all teary-eyed at the end every time I watch that one. Loved the interaction between the Dr., Amy and Rory - will be hard to fill those 'shoes'.

BBC rundown of the 2011 Christmas Special!

Good to see we're still getting a Christmas special this year. I found this line funny:
Quote:
They are about to enter a magical new world and learn that a Time Lord never forgets his debts...

The Time Lords are descendants of the Lannisters!
