You are hosting a dinner party, you yourself will be attending, along with a SO/friend of choice to help you out in the kitchen.

You are allowed 12 other guests, one of whom can be dead (hey! my game = my rules) and one fictional.

So, at my party we shall have (edited to add links) ...

Derren Brown
Nina Conti
Simon R Green (of course :D ) - I suspect I don't need a link for this!
Neil Gaiman
Terry Pratchett - I can't need a link for this can I??
Warren Ellis
Ella Fitzgerald
Damon Albarn
Lucy Worsley
Hayao Miyazaki
Tim Minchin
Philip Plait

Option 2 would just be to invite all of these people:

but that would be slightly more than 12...

So, who's at your party?

Hmmm... Tricky. I only have a small table. ;)

In no particular order:

Beowulf (Fictional choice)
Benjamin Bagby's performance of the opening lines of Beowulf
J. R. R. Tolkien (Deceased choice)
Stephen Pollington
Aaron Stainthorpe
Varg Vikernes
Alan Moore
Kristian 'Gahhl' Eivind Espedal
Einar 'Kvitrafn' Selvik

Simon R. Green
My mate, Thom
My mate, Doug
My mate, Marc

Conversation would be somewhat odd. I'm guessing we have universal translators, otherwise my dinner party is gonna suck.

***EDIT***
Have some links.

I don't think I could come up with 12 for fear of breaking my brain, but my deceased choice would definitely be Douglas Adams. The man had such a fascinating career and was an amazing storyteller, I'd love to just chat with him for a few hours!

No one's wants to go to the dark side then with the likes of Genghis Khan, or Darth Vader? Though I do hear they both like to throw bread rolls at each other
