I have to admit to not really knowing much about the term 'space opera'.

As far as I'm concerned, Deathstalker is Science Fantasy. (futuristic universe featuring fantastical themes.)

Your description is more correct...

Well, all I did was describe it, really. 'Space Opera' is not a valid description, unless they have a fat lady singing.

Well, Luc, the Screaming Silence was a fat lady, so I guess that Deathstalker fits in the genre.

I don't like the term 'soap opera' either.

Not really anything to do with this thread (I can't be bothered to start a new one)...

We've have today had an approach for a Deathtsalker TV series !!!!!!

Don't hold you're collective breaths, I image nothing will come of it. But I thought you all might like to know. . .

I'm confused.

On the one hand, I want Deathstalker to get the huge budget and be a spectacular movie series, but, on the other hand, I also don't want them cut cut (at east) half the story out, which means a television series is the way to go...

Dammit!

Maybe they could make the movies in a pared down format, then add the extra stuff as a tv series? Best of both worlds (will bever happen :( )

I read they're doing that with Stephen Kings Dark Tower series.
3 movies with a TV series between. . .
