How does the Amazon kindle read audio books, with a real person's voice or a computer's voice? I am getting an Amazon kindle. I know it reads audio books aloud. Will it read them like a CD does with a real narrator's voice or with a computer voice?

Didn't even know the Kindle could read aloud!

It would have to be a computer voice, you'd need a lot of storage for sampled voices...

I don't have the Deathstalker books on Kindle, but from using other books on my Kindle Fire, it uses text-to-speech recognition to "read aloud". It's not bad, a little stuttery but mostly fluid, and the only time I had any problem was when it would try pronouncing a made-up word, like fantasy city names or the names of aliens or alien planets. Overall, if you've already got a Kindle and can't hold the book up to read it, it's a decent substitute.

That said, the Deathstalker audio books from Graphic Audio were pretty good. The first one or two were early days and more like a radio play, but the latter books were full productions with sound effects and decent acting. I'd recommend the audiobooks over Kindle's reader anyday!
